Preferred Partners

Future ADU'ers be advised we do not have any secret kickbacks on agreements from the venders listed on this page. We have done the necessary due diligence for them to appear on the site. We expect you to still verify the partners listed by way of all the appropriate licensure details you would any corporation you hire to provide any services at your home. This is simply a starting point.

HPP CARES has maintained a preferred vendor list for the past year. To participate, vendors were asked to provide a $500 donation, which covered the cost of verifying contractors' licenses, insurance, and bonds, as well as compensating our website developer for adding and coding their information to the site. This program has been a valuable opportunity for vendors to be considered by grant awardees.

As HPP CARES continues to grow as a trusted partner for ADU builders, we want to ensure there is no misunderstanding regarding any potential agreements or contracts behind the scenes. Our goal is to serve as a resource for ADU builders, offering guidance on how to research vendors and contractors independently, rather than providing a direct list of recommended vendors.

In an effort to empower consumers and remain fully transparent, we have decided to discontinue this service. We appreciate your understanding as we shift to a model that better supports consumer choice and information.

Progress

As a social enterprise, HPP CARES CDE has achieved significant and wide-ranging accomplishments in recent years. Working under the National Coalition for Equities' (NCFE) umbrella, our focus has been on advocating for a strong community voice among federal and state regulators and major private sector corporations. We've dedicated ourselves to addressing public policy issues, particularly those related to wealth and income inequality impacting affordable homeownership and small business growth.

Through collaborative efforts with NCFE, HPP CARES CDE has expanded outreach initiatives, leading to increased corporate social responsibility and consumer protection awareness. Our endeavors have enabled us to engage with a broader audience, forge partnerships with numerous companies, and engage with regulators, all with the goal of supporting deserving individuals in achieving sustainable homeownership, fostering successful small businesses, protecting consumers, and empowering California communities.

At HPP CARES CDE, we are committed to championing opportunities for people of color to become integral partners in our mission to reduce income and wealth inequality, thereby contributing to the creation of stronger futures for all minority groups.
